LATTE+ Biography:

LATTE+ was born at the beginning of 1997 in Santa Maria, a working-class neighborhood of Empoli (FI).

In the spring of that year, they entered the studio to record their first demo, "Dustbin in Town," which included six songs in English. The demo was pressed in 500 copies and sold out by the end of the year. Throughout 1998, LATTE+ continued to write songs in English, and the experience gained over the next year and a half resulted in "The New Generation Sucks," their first entirely self-produced album, pressed in 500 copies. From September 1999 until the end of the following year, the band played over 50 concerts, including in Lazio, Liguria, and Veneto, thus playing outside their region for the first time.

Copies of the album sold out completely, sparking interest from various independent labels. Their first non-self-produced album, "Guerriglia urbana," was recorded in Treviso in December 2001 and hit the worst record stores in Italy the following spring. This album also saw the band switch from English to Italian, launching LATTE+ in a new direction; they became one of the most well-known and appreciated bands on the Italian independent scene. Over the next two years, the "Guerriglia urbana tour" took the band to perform almost all over Italy, culminating in a historic appearance at the Punk Evil Festival in Switzerland in front of a crowd of 4,000. Thanks to effective promotion, regional and national radio airplay, television appearances, and excellent reviews, "Guerriglia urbana" sold over 3,000 copies.

In the summer of 2004, the band returned to the studio to record 14 songs that would become "Molotov," one of the most anticipated albums on the Italian independent scene. LATTE+'s second album was released in February 2005, and the promotional tour lasted until the end of the year. Although not as successful as their debut album, sales were excellent and copies sold out. After the "Molotov" tour, several of the band's songs were included on national compilations; they also released *6 (a split with various bands from the Roman scene that included three unreleased tracks recorded for the occasion), and Strummer, a beautiful tribute to Joe Strummer, for which they recorded a beautiful version of "White Man in Hammersmith Palais."

In 2007, for the first time, requests also came from abroad, especially from Germany and Holland, but some changes in the lineup led the band to have a transition period spent looking for the right members to return to live performances and to composing new songs.

It took all of 2008 for LATTE+ to get back up and running again, but during this time they found a solid and stable lineup and composed "Non è finita," a new album released in September 2009 on Controtempo Produzioni, an independent label from Florence. The "Non è finita tour" began in October 2009 and continued until June 2010, taking the band to the stages of clubs and festivals throughout Italy and Switzerland. From then on, the band composed new songs, which were recorded in the summer of 2011. In the spring of the following year, "Asociale" was released, their fifth studio album, completely self-produced and by all accounts the band's best. The supporting tour ended in the summer of 2013, but the band immediately resumed writing new material, this time in English.

"No More Than Three Chords" was recorded in the summer of 2014 and released in September by Rocketman Records in Milan. The "Three Chords Tour" began the following month and continued until the end of July 2015, taking the band to perform throughout northern Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. "No More Than Three Chords" also received excellent reviews in the United States, selling well and attracting interest from several independent labels with whom the band is currently in contact for the production of their new album, scheduled for release in 2016.
