Released in September by Professional Punkers , Cave Canem DIY (which also released their previous album Batracomiomachia) and Still Fucking Angry Records , PornoPhorno is the third studio album by Tuscan band AutoBlastinDog .
 It's made up of 14 small, razor-sharp, madly sharpened splinters, giving life to a problematic mathcore " comedy " that, on the one hand, revels in sardonic sarcasm, with nonsensical twists, and plenty of references and references. But on the other, it's truly extreme, precisely because of the redundancy of its stimuli and its underlying anger, as well as its theoretical discourse. Because PornoPhorno is also a concept album about porn seen as extreme voyeurism, as the murder of the virtual at the expense of reality. And so AutoBlastinDog cannibalize everything they get their hands on and chew it over in a post-modern bazaar of oddities, quotations, and irony, all on a solid mathcore structure revisited in a personal way that draws on the experimentation of The Blood Brothers as much as early Rolo Tomassi , with vocals sung in Italian—without all that many swear words, after all—and an interpretation that, somewhere and for some reason, can even remotely recall Il Teatro degli Orrori . To stay in Italy, it's a work that fits into the heterogeneous wake of Buffalo Grillz , MILF , or Paperoga .
 I like to think that the song title "Selfie=wank" can be used as another key to understanding PornoPhorno , which, ultimately, is also a narcissistic album, with its self-satisfied self-reflection in its exaltation of detail. It's an album that wants to attract attention and expose itself in a vulgar display of itself, thereby becoming pornographic in itself. A sort of daring 2.0 concept. Even if that weren't the case, AutoBlastinDog would still have hit the nail on the head.
