Seven years after “Karnefixina” and after two years of solo experience of frontman Jena with “Bruklin”, Blak Vomit are back in the recording studio - Jena (Gianluca Favero) on vocals, Sabo (Stefano Sabotig) on bass, Soflan (Marco Gallazzi) on guitar and Derrik (Derrik Bonucci) on drums - announcing the new production with two videos:
“Fired on the Fly” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UfL74F9gMY&t=49s)
and “Ecciao” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Q4OJFereNU&t=25s).Punk rock punctuated by the influence of Jena, both the songwriter and the composer, opens up unexpected possibilities: the songs' meanings are multilayered, flipping like pages, representing increasingly profound images and concepts, sparking connections with other musical worlds. On the listener's side, Macelleria Soxial is a well-structured album, nine songs intense in their rhythm, dynamics, and saturated sound. The album's style and personality go hand in hand, as the lyrics and music emerge together. It's difficult to discern a before and after; the straightforward verses flow into catchy, sarcastically insistent choruses.
Reality is discovered with disenchantment and clarity, the irony of a world that remains unchanged. Men are—always, still—in power, command, sex, money, vices, programmed according to a predetermined plan. It is songs that awaken us from this torpor, that unleash the energy we've dormant, the desire to change, to kick fate, to be protagonists and win. We search for peace, but the wind always blows, and that's what gives us the certainty of being alive. Music, like the wind, reaches everywhere, blowing in the heights as well as in the depths, it makes no distinctions.Jena/Blak Vomit Press Office: Camilla Pusateri, email: camilla.pusateri@gmail.com and camilla.pusateri@camikaze.it
