CRUMMY STUFF "PUNK'S NOT SAD" (Professional Punkers, Tufo Rock Records, Ammonia Records)
It was 1996, the press releases talked about "the exciting full-length debut for this Milanese band already featured on the Flower Punk Rock compilation" ... "RAMONES BAD RELIGION style!".
Professional Punkers, Tufo Rock Records, and Ammonia Records are thrilled to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of "Punk's Not Sad" by releasing it on colored vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies. This fully remastered vinyl edition, packaged with a poster featuring the complete cover artwork, will be available from March 15, 2021.
"Punk's Not Sad," Crummy Stuff's debut album, originally released on CD and cassette by the ever-bustling Fridge Records, is considered one of the seminal albums of the Italian punk rock scene, which was just emerging in those years with bands like Punkreas and Derozer. The effect you'll get when you put the needle to the vinyl grooves will be the same as it was 25 years ago: hard, fast punk rock, with melodic vocals, energy, and power!
"Punk's not sad is a mature exercise in Californian-school melodic punk tainted by typically '77 passages" (Rumore 3/1996)
"Devastating and very, very funny" (Tutto 4/1996)
"There's even a passionate tribute to Andrea Pazienza, remembered in No Cocco Oil, a funny story of his honeymoon in Bali." (Blow up 4/1996)
"The title of this Crummy Stuff CD, paraphrased from a famous slogan by the Exploited, is as brilliant as its contents: melodic hardcore, '77 punk and ultra-fast pop" (Mucchio Selvaggio 6/1996)
"With the title track or songs like Rebel Son, Waste of Time, Let It Go, No Cocco Oil, the Crummy Stuff can easily hold their own against Green Day and their riffraff." (Hard n. 71 1996)
