T-Rex Squad is a band formed almost as a joke in early 2019, bringing together members from diverse backgrounds in the Italian punk-hardcore scene with the sole purpose of having fun and not taking themselves too seriously. Over the months, however, the band evolved and took shape, partly due to unexpected positive feedback. Based between Bologna, Ferrara, and Castelfidardo, their style blends classic Italian punk rock à la Derozer/Gerson with the overseas sounds of bands like Bouncing Souls/Rancid, but with a decidedly more street-punk edge that lends their songwriting a more personal touch. Lyrics are a hallmark of the band, describing aspects of modern daily life through ironic parallels to the T-Rex era. In just a few months, they've already shared the stage with bands like H2O, Battery, Chromosomes, Doc Rotten, and Senza Benza. Their debut album is coming out soon, featuring a host of notable collaborations and tours.
